2022 Wreaths Acrosss America Ceremony
Marian Hallowell, Wreaths Across America Location Coordinator, sent a letter of thanks to Pomfret Community School for helping them in the Wreaths Across America Ceremony on Saturday, December 17, 2022. The event took place at the Pomfret Veterans Monument. The school would like to thank Xander Pierce, Abigail Harris and Isaac Woods for attending. Ms. Hallowell added, “The students were an important part of the Ceremony and everyone was happy to see them to remember and honor the Veterans.”

The Holiday Shop made $958. This will go towards things like funding field trips and events for the students, enrichment items such as any needed class supplies, and providing teachers and staff with lunch at the beginning of the year and during Teacher Appreciation week. The Pomfret Community School community would like to extend their gratitude to the PTO .
Wreaths Across America in Pomfret
After learning about the volume of rectangular prisms, the 5th graders created animal creatures out of different sized rectangular boxes. They computed the volumes of all the different sized boxes then found the total volume of their animal creature. When they finished their calculations, they decorated and embellished their animal creatures.
